Garden of Gems: Hatton Jewels Unveils a Carved Gemstone Necklace & Bracelet

Hatton Jewels introduces two exceptional bespoke jewellery additions to our collection: a necklace and bracelet that redefine modern high jewellery with the artistry of carved gemstones and precision diamond setting.

The Necklace

This necklace is arranged in cascading tiers, evoking lush vines ablaze with colour and light. Measuring an impressive 65 cm in length, it envelops the neckline in a sweeping opera-length drape. The platinum framework carries a composition of carved gemstones and bead-set diamonds, creating a vivid garden of colour.

The statistics alone are extraordinary: a total gemstone weight of 208.24 carats. This includes 8.58 carats of natural diamonds glittering like dewdrops among carved leaves, together with emerald, spinel and sapphire beads adding depth and texture. The carved elements – emeralds totalling over 52 carats, sapphires of 55 carats, and rubies of 61 carats – are sculpted to resemble leaves, each one a miniature artwork in its own right.

At the heart of the piece are Burmese ruby and sapphire carvings left in their natural, unheated state. Such stones are revered by connoisseurs as the pinnacle of rarity, prized not only for their vivid colour but for the integrity of their natural form. This pedigree transforms the necklace from a beautiful adornment into a true collector’s jewel. Despite its richness, the design remains harmonious: diamonds graded G–H in colour with SI clarity provide a scintillating backdrop without overwhelming the carved stones, allowing the necklace to feel both commanding and elegant.

The Bracelet

If the necklace is an ornate garland, the bracelet is its bold companion – a sumptuous wreath of gemstones for the wrist. Spanning 19 cm long and 4 cm wide, this platinum bracelet has the scale and presence of a cocktail jewel while retaining refinement.

The bracelet carries 142.90 carats of gemstones, including 6.38 carats of natural diamonds and a suite of emerald, sapphire and spinel beads. The carved stones are once again the focal point: emeralds, rubies and sapphires sculpted into leaf motifs totalling more than 110 carats. These carvings echo the artistry of the necklace, ensuring that the two pieces harmonise perfectly when worn together, yet the bracelet’s bold width and concentrated design allow it to stand alone as a statement.

As with the necklace, the diamonds are finely grain-set, lending brilliance without detracting from the carved gemstones. The result is a bracelet that feels sculptural and alive, like a jewelled vine coiled elegantly around the wrist.

Rarity, Expertise and Collector Appeal

What distinguishes this suite is not simply its size or spectacle, but the marriage of natural rarity and refined craftsmanship. Carved gemstones carry a distinctive soul and artistry rarely encountered in modern jewellery, and when combined with unheated Burmese rubies and sapphires, they become truly exceptional. The sheer volume of gemstones – more than 350 carats across the two pieces – is seldom seen in contemporary creations, setting these jewels apart as collector-level acquisitions.

Hatton Jewels’ in-house expertise ensures that both pieces have been meticulously serviced and are presented in excellent condition. Backed by gemmological authentication and the brand’s commitment to quality, they arrive ready to take their place either as wearable investments or as centrepieces of a private collection.

Hatton Jewels has long championed a bespoke jewellery approach, bringing together traditional craftsmanship with modern connoisseurship. In this necklace and bracelet, that philosophy is vividly realised. They are jewels that not only adorn but also tell a story: of nature interpreted in gemstone, of craftsmanship elevated to art, and timeless luxury.
