A gorgeous pre-owned antique natural Sugarloaf Sapphire cluster ring, crafted in platinum and dating to the 1920s.

At its centre, the ring features an impressive 6.00ct natural, no-heat Sugarloaf Sapphire, surrounded by a cluster of old cut diamonds and custom cabochon-cut sapphires.

The diamond weight is approximately 0.45cts and is a G-H in colour and is VS clarity.

A sugarloaf sapphire is a rare gemstone cut featuring a high, four-sided domed pyramid shape with a rounded top and a flat base, the style gets its name from traditional, conically shaped loaves of refined sugar sold until the late 19th century. While it is an ancient cutting technique, the style became very famous during the 1920s Art Deco movement.
