Crafted in 18ct yellow gold, the combination of a substantial blue centre stone with older-cut diamonds gives the ring a distinctive character while retaining a classic three-stone design.
Vintage Sapphire and Diamond Bracelet
For something away from the more familiar sapphire ring, the Vintage Sapphire and Diamond Bracelet combines three oval-cut sapphires totalling approximately 2.50cts with 2.10cts of diamonds.
The bracelet is crafted in 18ct white gold and uses a mixture of brilliant, marquise and single-cut diamonds, giving the design plenty of detail without overwhelming the sapphires. Dating from the 1940s, it is a particularly good example of how well sapphire works in vintage jewellery.

Dating from the 1920s, the platinum ring centres on an approximately 4.80ct natural, no-heat cabochon sapphire, surrounded by old-cut diamonds and calibre-cut sapphires. Rather than the faceted finish more commonly seen in modern sapphire jewellery, the cabochon cut gives the centre stone a smooth, rounded appearance that immediately sets the piece apart.
