What is your main role within Hatton Jewels?
As marketing and office assistant, my role is multifaceted. I assist our head of marketing and social media in maintaining our social media presence and engaging with our online community.
Additionally I also contribute to our marketing strategy and season campaigns, my role also entails capturing photography for both our social media and website which are vital to how we visually communicate with our clients.
What is the most interesting thing you have learnt about jewellery so far?
As I have just joined Hatton Jewels, everyday is a learning curve, being in the midst of a busy and knowledgeable team I am picking up on different facts and specifics that I can take with me throughout my work.
I find it fascinating that the majority of pieces that come into the boutique have such a deep rooted and emotional connection behind them. I love learning about the piece's story and having the opportunity to be a part of it myself.
I am so excited to learn more about the world of jewellery and the history it holds behind it. Being in this role and a part of the team also gives me the opportunity to learn about the different cuts, stones and clarity grading which is something I have taken an interest in during my first couple weeks.
What is the content creation you most enjoy working on?
I personally love the antique side of the business as they often hold a lot of creative opportunities and styling. Capturing the history and attention to detail of the pieces is something I find deeply rewarding and fascinating especially when it comes to different variations of content creation.
Having such a collection of pieces at Hatton Jewels, makes it so interesting to see where the day takes me as I can be photographing and capturing pre-owned jewellery house pieces to beautiful pieces from the 1950’s.
What is my personal style of jewellery
My personal style chops and changes constantly, I love a unique and somewhat out there piece but I also love a simple and iconic design like the Cartier love range.
When photographing the stunning pieces that come in, I often find myself questioning my own style and I do tend to wonder if something I once thought wasn’t for me now is. I think this shift comes from spending so much time with antiques, as I’ve fallen in love with styles I never expected to be drawn to.
What are some of your other passions in life?
One of my biggest passions is fashion, especially high fashion. I’m drawn to the process of watching sketches come to life, seeing ideas transform into masterpieces that leave a lasting mark on the fashion world.
Food holds the same kind of excitement for me. I’m always trying something new, seeking out the latest spots, and always over ordering.
